Where are you located? Can I come in to make arrangements?
We serve the Seattle and Portland metro areas including Clark, King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties in Washington, and Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties in Oregon. Our administrative mailing address and arrangement counselor staff are in King County, WA. We have partner crematories in Kent, WA and Portland, OR, with transportation centers in these locations as well. Please keep in mind, however, that part of the reason we can keep our service prices low is because we do not have the ability to meet families to make arrangements in these locations. Instead, the families we serve complete the arrangement forms online.

What are the laws for scattering ashes in Oregon?
In Oregon, there are no state laws controlling where you may keep or scatter ashes. Ashes may be stored in a crypt, niche, grave, or container at home. If you wish to scatter ashes, you have many options. Generally, use common sense and refrain from scattering ashes in places where they would be obvious to others.
You can scatter cremated remains on any private land with permission. To scatter on National Park land seek permission from the Chief Park Ranger. For state trust uplands seek permission from the regional manager. You should scatter ashes on the ground at least 100 yards from any trail, road, building, or waterway. Memorial markers are not permitted and publicity of the scattering is not allowed.
You may also scatter at sea outside the 3-mile limit enforced by the EPA. Such scatterings should be reported to the Region 10 administrator of the EPA within 30 days.
