Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located? Can I come in to make arrangements?
Once my loved one is taken into your care, where do they go?
How long does this process usually take?
How do I obtain certified copies of the death certificate?
Once the death certificate is completed and filed with the state, certified copies are mailed directly from the county health department, with insurance when available.
If you paid for copies at the time of arrangements, we’ll handle the order for you. If you've completed arrangements with us in the past 12 months, we may still be able to order certified copies on your behalf.
Certified death records are not public and are only issued to qualified applicants such as a spouse, parent, child, sibling, legal representative, next of kin, or others with a legal need.
How am I sure the cremated remains I receive are those of my loved one?
We have strict controls and monitoring in place to ensure that every person in our care is tracked properly. From the second your loved one is brought into our care, they’re identified with an ankle tag including their name and date of death. Before cremation, an ID number is assigned and stamped on a metal disk – this then accompanies your loved one throughout the cremation process, so we always know who is who.
