Stephen Liptak passed away in Shoreline, Washington on October 14, 2024.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Stephen charted his own course. As a young man he hitched a ride to Seattle, settled in, and made it his home for 40 years.

Handsome, talented & creative, he was a Jersey boy with a dreamer’s heart to perform.
Sadly, mental illness was to determine his path, and though his dream was lost, his heart remained.

Stephen lived in the Shoreline area. Known and recognized by many, he was the older pleasant man you saw out and about, walking to the bus, convenience store or tobacco shop. He was a kind soul who, having lived a long and storied journey, has peacefully passed landing softly beyond the challenges of his earthly life.

A special thank you to nurse Jessica from Sound Health. She has walked with him through years of illness and her ever present kindness and support has been a source of strength throughout.

Thanks also, to his doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers… all those whose skill and care helped Stephen navigate his life.

We are forever grateful to all of you.
