Sean Michael Black passed away on July 7th, 2024.

Sean moved to Seattle in the early 2000s. Although his heart remained in Montana, he cherished the city of Seattle and his many friends.

Throughout his career, Sean worked as a logistics coordinator in the transportation industry, a logistics specialist for a cruise line, and an operations manager for a local food distributor. Most recently, Sean discovered his passion for cooking and as a chef, he used his skills to create amazing meals, constantly refining his recipes and “making the sauce perfect”.

Sean was often found quietly feeding people in need, building a deck, helping friends move, or simply being there for anyone who needed to talk. His love for Seattle extended beyond the city to the mountains, the hidden trails he loved to hike, and sipping coffee in his secret spot on his favorite beach. Sean always wanted to climb Mt. Rainier, so he did, a feat that left us all in awe.

His love of music was vast, ranging from Pearl Jam to Tim McGraw, with a mix of jazz and classical. His playlist was long and meaningful. Sean touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Sean is survived by his parents, Rodney and Amy, his brother Seth, his grandmother, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
