Nancy Edna Bacon, 79 Years, of Gig Harbor, WA

Nancy E. Bacon passed away December 16, 2018 in Gig Harbor, Wa. She was born August 16, 1939, the youngest of nine children born to Atoka Lee and Willie A. Bacon.

Nancy left Ellensburg at an early age. She worked as a waitress, pinup girl and appeared in several films before meeting and marrying Don Wilson, rhythm guitarist of The Ventures band. After the birth of their daughter, Staci Layne, they divorced but remained good friends. Nancy then focused on her writing career and published several novels. She enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking and she loved all animals.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Bill Bacon, Bob Bacon and Jack Bacon, and sisters Lanora Crites and Juanita Osenbaugh. She is survived by her daughter Staci Layne Wilson, her sisters Wanda Harmon and Barbara Wheatley, her brother Don (Gabe) Bacon, sisters-in-law Donna Bacon Shore and Betty Bacon, and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral service.
