In Loving Memory of Mason Dominic Guevara-Allen
December 24, 2013 – February 14, 2025

Mason Guevara-Allen

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Mason Dominic Guevara-Allen on February 14, 2025. Born on December 24, 2013, in Seattle, WA, Mason was the cherished son of Maria Athena Guevara and AJ Allen. Mason is preceded in death by his Great Grandma Margaret Guzman Pauley of Yakima, WA. Lucila and Matias Guevara of Michoacan, MX and Grandparents Edith Allen and Larry Allen of Seattle WA. Mason is survived by his devoted parents and his loving sisters, Simona, Anaya, and Ambrielle, all of Seattle. His grandparents, Martin and Marcella Guevara of Wapato, and his uncles, Martin (Moe) Guevara (Sarah) of San Diego, CA; Mathew Guevara (Faye) of Vancouver, BC; and Marcus Guevara (Amber) of Outlook, WA. Uncle Armond Allen of Seattle, Aunt Andrea Allen of Seattle. He also leaves behind 6 first cousins, Marcus, Chance, and Luciano, Armond, Donato and Keke, 17 very close second cousins and a very large loving extended family of Wapato, Yakima and Seattle.

Mason comes from a very deep-rooted and strong-bonded family, all of whom surrounded him with a sense of belonging, unconditional love, wisdom, and joy. He shared so many unique bonds and special memories with his great uncles, Tío Joe (Tia Isabel) and Tío Tony, Tio Jaime (Tia Elvia), uncle Armond as well as his Great aunts Tia Amparo (Jorge) Tia Debbie (Tony), Aunt Andrea and Tia Mellissa. A special honor was given to “Nina” Maria and “Nino” John, who were beyond blessed to be Mason’s Godparents—roles they took to heart with endless love and guidance. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise and to impact a child, and Mason’s village embraced that responsibility with all their hearts. He was deeply cherished, and the memories of his bright spirit will live on forever.

Our precious Mason so adored by his Nana Marcella and Papa Martin and the late Grandma and Grandpa Allen. Their pride and joy a sweet grandson who brought so much light and love into their lives. From the moment they met they knew he was special—curious, kind-hearted, and full of life. He spent countless summers and weekends with them. They have cherished every hug, every laugh, and every moment. We will miss your visits, your stories, and the way you made our hearts feel so full.

He loved to travel, especially to San Diego to visit Uncle Moe and Aunt Sarah, where he was happiest playing on the beach with his cousin Chance. Among his uncles, he was most like his Uncle Matt—a little reserved, a quiet intellect, always smiling, and full of playful silliness. A sweet, kindhearted, and inquisitive boy, Mason’s love for learning was unmatched. A natural thinker with a passion for Science and Technology, Mason loved studying the stock market with his dad and impressing us all with his knowledge. He found joy in creating worlds in Roblox and Minecraft, where he connected with his friends and his Tio Marcus—even if Tio never let him win, much to Mason’s amusement. He was the best role model for his little cousins, always eager to share and teach. He amazed us with his bright mind and curiosity and that beautiful hair we all envied. Though sometimes shy, once he warmed up, he was full of love, laughter, and the best cuddles. Mason was particular about his food—he never let a burnt hot dog slide and wouldn’t tolerate over-seasoned rice! He did always love Tía Amber’s cooking. Nothing made him happier than his favorite Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets, the way to a little boy’s heart.

Message from Your Sisters: Mason, our sweet baby brother, our built-in best friend, we adored you beyond words. You brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives. You were the perfect mix of silly, kind, and endlessly smart. Brie especially cherished every daily moment with you, even when she pretended to pick at you for fun. She’ll miss the times she got to do your hair when Mom had to work, and how you acted like you didn’t like it, but knowing you secretly loved it. She’ll miss family game nights, your smile when she bought you little surprises without Mom and Dad knowing, and how much fun you had playing in the snow and the sand. You loved nature, Mason—every part of it, just like you loved life. Life will never be the same without you, but we will carry your love in our hearts forever. We miss you; we love you, and we will always be your big sisters. Forever our baby brother, always in our hearts. 💙

A Loving Message from Dad: Mason, my brilliant boy, my proud little nerd—you were everything a father could hope for in a son and more. Your curiosity had no limits, your mind was sharp, and your excitement for the things you loved was contagious. I can still hear you shouting from your room, lost in the worlds you created as a gamer and designer. You were always eager to help fix things, ready to lend a hand without hesitation. You kept us all moving, making sure we spent family time together dragging us to the movies, insisting on dinner at your favorite spots, and reminding us how important it was to go visit family. You loved adventure, whether it was hiking through the woods or searching for creatures along the beach.

What I’ll miss most about you is your genuine character. You had a heart so big, you would even offer to pay me back before even asking for anything. Always curious wanting to understand the world, always learning—like driving that big semi-truck on your own with purpose, using power tools, or figuring out how to invest your money, the joy you shared, and that beautiful smile so big it melted my heart. You filled me and amazed me every single day son. You were and will always be a spark of light in my life Mason, and that light will never fade. I will always bring you with me always. With all my love, Dad 💙

A Loving Message from Mommy to Mason: My sweet Mason, my little angel, my baby boy—there are no words big enough to hold all the love I have for you. From the moment I held you in my arms, I knew my heart belonged to you forever. You were my shadow, my cuddle buddy, my sweetest love. You filled my days with laughter, your warm hugs, and the way you always looked at me with those bright green eyes, full of love and trust. Some of my most cherished moments with you were the simplest ones, those quiet times when you just wanted to hang out with me in my room, content just to be near me. You always wanted to watch our favorite shows or movies, even if we had seen them a hundred times before. I’d watch them a hundred more if it meant having you here with me again. Every morning before school, I’d do your hair. You would act like you didn’t like it, but deep down, I knew you did. It was our little routine, our special time together. And oh, how I miss the sound of you getting into your games, screaming like a banshee when someone was messing with you or taking you out. All your friends and watching you play in the neighborhood just developing relationships. Your excitement, your passion, your wild explanations of all the things you could do in those virtual world games, we shared so many laughs, and those moments filled my heart with happiness.

You were my teacher just as much as I was yours. You showed me what pure kindness, curiosity, and joy looked like. You reminded me to slow down, to enjoy the little things, to cherish every moment—because every moment with you was a gift. I miss the way you held my hand, the way you called for me, the way you always made sure I knew how much you loved me. I hope you know just how deeply I love you, too. I will carry you with me with everything I do. In every sunrise, in every soft breeze, in every star that lights up the night sky—I will find you there. You will always be my baby, and I will always be your mommy. Until we meet again, my love, my heart, my Mason. Forever and always, Mommy 💙
