David passed away 12/22/23 at his home in Snohomish, WA. David paid his way through the engineering program at UC Berkeley through his work as a certified VW mechanic. Following graduation he completed a “visiting residency” at a Volkswagen plant in Germany. The majority of his engineering career was in the aerospace field and primarily with The Boeing Company. He was an avid collector of Volkswagens in varying stages of repair or completion. David was the son of Frank and Elaine Laessle. He is survived by his wife Vivian and daughters Nicole and Natalie. He is also survived by siblings Joan, Susan, and Mark and several nieces and nephews. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by all.
We will miss you Uncle David. Such a kind, gentle and compassionate person that I am blessed to forever call my uncle. I love you ❤️❤️
David was my brother and my best friend. He was devoted to his family and was very proud of everyone’s accomplishments. I was in a horrible car accident and couldn’t walk.
David drove over and slung me over his shoulder and drove me to a nearby lake. That’s the kind of guy he was.
My husband David was a really nice person. He was funny and loved to joke around. He was smart and was always working with his cars, his favorite hobby. I missed his smile and his voice. I wasn’t ready to have him pass away that quickly. I will always miss you. You will always be here with us.
My dad was a really intelligent and hard-working person. He had so many things he wanted to do with his life and it was sad to have him pass away at a young age. We will always miss you.
Hi Daddy, I really miss you! I wish you were still here with us, but I Know you’re happy now because you’re with grandma and grandpa now. I promise I will take care of mom
