Christopher Randolph Porter, born September 8, 1961, in Anchorage, Alaska, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2024. He was 63.
Chris moved to California as a child and later built a long and dedicated career with the State of California, where he served for 33 years before retiring. After retirement, he relocated to Washington state, enjoying a quieter life surrounded by nature and the comforts of home.
Chris was the beloved husband of Jennifer Porter and is survived by his mother, Janice Young; his children, Sebastian Porter and Sabrina Porter; and his stepchildren, Kathryn Broome, Alexander Broome, and William Broome. He cared deeply for his family and leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and steadfast kindness.
A man who appreciated life’s simple joys, Chris spent his time traveling, computer gaming, music, watching movies, and enjoying nature. These small pleasures reflected his gentle spirit and the thoughtful, easygoing nature that friends and family cherished.
