Centralia Cremation Information
Over eight out of ten Washington families choose cremation for a variety of religious, philosophic, economic, and environmental reasons. Many simply feel that cremation affords them a more comfortable pathway toward a closure harmonious with their lifestyle.
Where are you located? Can I come in to make arrangements?
We serve the Pacific Northwest including Clark, Cowlitz, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Pierce, Skagit, Skamania, Snohomish, and Thurston Counties in Washington and Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties in Oregon. Our administrative mailing address and arrangement counselor staff are located in Seattle and Tacoma, respectively. We have partner crematories in Kent, Marysville, and Portland, with transportation centers in these locations as well. Please keep in mind, however, that part of the reason we are able to keep our service prices low is because we do not have the ability to meet families to make arrangements in these locations. Instead, the families we serve complete the arrangement forms online.

What are the laws for scattering ashes in Washington?
You can scatter ashes on any private land with permission. To scatter on National Park land you need permission from the Chief Park Ranger. For state trust uplands you need permission from the regional manager. You should scatter ashes on the ground at least 100 yards from any trail, road, building, or waterway. Memorial markers are not allowed and publicity of the scattering is not permitted.
You may scatter in the Puget Sound or any navigable inland waterway under state control. You may also scatter at sea outside the 3-mile limit enforced by the EPA. Report such scatterings to the EPA within 30 days.
Washington State Ferries also allow scattering. Please provide a 3-5 day notice for a scattering memorial service. Ceremonies can only take place during non-peak sailing times & if weather conditions permit. Ashes must be in a biodegradable container.
